Busses and Postcards

A strange combination for my title you may think but where I come from we say that you can wait a while for a bus to come along and then two arrive together!
Postcards come into this category and today I received two beautiful although completely different cards.

This beautiful card is from Annette

my swap partner in the Spring Postcard Swap organised by Sheila. Thank you Sheila.

I love the frill at the bottom and the little button that finishes off the flower. Thank you very much Annette.

The other postcard that arrived today was the one that I won from Monika of My Sweet Prairie.

I was fortunate to be able to choose from Monika's recent batch of cards and this sunset stood out for me. It is so beautiful. Thank you very much Monika.

Not much sewing to show you so I thought you would like to see a few pictures that I took in the garden this afternoon. There is so much spring colour around it was good to wander round the garden even though we had a sunless day!

This japonica seems to be even brighter than usual.

We have masses of blackthorn around the garden - good news for sloe gin this winter!

The cowslips are at their best at the moment.

As are the grape hyacinths.

These pretty primroses brighten up a wild corner.

And this is where we  have been working hard over the last couple of weeks!

The tall wigwam is for our runner beans and the shorter ones for mange-tout. The curly poles to the right are for tomatoes. In the foreground are our broad beans and just behind onions.

This Friday is FNSI

Have a good week.
