Welcome one and all to sunny Somerset! No, the weather has not changed - just a brief interlude after this mornings rain. We are told that it has rained every day this year so far. Enough.
My Stitch Journal for the week.
And my crochet progress.
Was getting nicely through week 4 and thought I might have caught up by Friday when the next instructions were released. However, felt a slight twinge at the base of my thumb so thought I might give it a rest for a few days rather than make it worse. For my yarn choice - the Yarnsmiths Merino, week 5 is the last of the main body and next week Lucy is talking about borders. So I will see how I get on and how much yarn I have left.
I have made a start on my Easter rabbit, this is the front.
However I am now thinking I might have gone too high as the scarf will probably obscure the top flower, so maybe it will be the back! Oh well, thats what you get for winging it. Having fun though which is the main thing.
Hope you are having fun too. See you next week.
All your projects are lovely . Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteGlad you are finally getting to remember what sunshine looks like Lin, all be it briefly. Your projects are so lovely - having fun with them is the main ingredient!!
ReplyDeleteSome nice sunny yellows in your Stitch Journal.
ReplyDeleteLove your crochet. Easter project looks interesting.
ReplyDeleteI do love your header and looking at all the bits and pieces there..... yes, I get a bit achy after a lot of crochet too... that blanket is looking so good.

Maybe you stitch journal should have some rain or an umbrella
ReplyDeleteI agree about the rain - enough already! Still, every incentive to stay in and stitch!
ReplyDeleteI hope you get a bit more sunshine soon! So nice to see your stitch journal growing - interesting stiches! I love your crochet too - merino sounds nice and cosy.
ReplyDeleteI feel you on the rain front. We have had an appalling Summer here in NZ. You must be due some sunshine soon. Lovely to see the sun is still in your stitching though, those yellows and golds will brighten your day. Hope your thumb heals quickly.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you have perfect stitching weather. I love your rug. One of my stitching group ladies is making one as well, but in Stylecraft DK. I’m sure you will make a gorgeous bunny.
ReplyDeleteYou had a nice week of progress, Lin. I am so loving the colors in the CAL.
