It has been a busy time for the postman recently and here are some of the lovely things he has brought me.
First of all this super Dragon fabric and pattern - a giveaway from Karen of KaHolly
Then I treated myself to another of Monika's http://mysweetprairie.blogspot.fr/
miniature threadpaintings that I fell in love with when I saw it on her blog.
Difficult to get a good photograph without a reflection but I love those Black Eyed Susans.
I have been seeing many links to the Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe because the very generous Nancy is always having giveaways! Her hand dyed threads look beautiful and so I ordered a few packs of perle cotton and they arrived today.
The colours are just as gorgeous in real life and I am looking forward to using them in some of my crazy blocks.
I hope you have had some interesting post this week.
Welcome to my blog. I hope you enjoy reading about my adventures - in stitch and otherwise! And I hope that you will leave a comment so that I know you have visited.

Not much time to sew!
But it is lovely to have visitors (Keith and Lorraine) especially at this time of the year when the garden is looking so lovely.
A lovely surprise in the post last week was this super postcard
from Monika Kinner-Whalen. Such a completely different style for Monika and you can read all about the fun evening she had with friends creating these modern cards by clicking on her name. Thank you very much Monika - am enjoying having it on my easel.
I can show progress on my May crazy block
not quite finished but I need a quiet afternoon to myself to do it.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

STITCH magazine for Feb/March
I have been so looking forward to the arrival of this magazine as I knew that my blogger friend Monika Kinner-Whalen had an article being published in it. And as we are going away this weekend for a month I was worrying that it would not arrive until after we had left!
However, all is well as it arrived today and Monika's article - From Sketch to Stitch' - is there. It is lovely to see her beautiful work showcased like this and I hope that if you have a chance to get hold of the magazine and read her article that you will. It shows how she produces her beautiful threadpaintings using photographs and sketches.
You can see one of her threadpaintings centre right at the bottom of the front cover or you can use the link above to pop over to her blog and say hello.
Have a good week everyone.
