Cactus Flower

This much neglected cactus has surprised us this week with a beautiful flower.

Isn't it beautiful! Sadly it did not last very long but was lovely to see.

We have a canicule forecast here for next week - that's a heatwave to you! So it will be a week of early mornings and quiet afternoons indoors - plenty of time to sew then!

Have a good week.

  1. such a delicate flower...
I notice behind it there is a plant, we used to call them a money plant? I have seeds for them given to me by a friend, was wondering what time of year do you plant them? Seems they flower in the summer then....
Hope you manage the heatwave. I never enjoy the high temps here either.

  4. It's amazing how are delicate flowers of cactus! It is fine silk on thorns.
I am in need of a photo of tulips. Do you have any? A clump of tulips or field of tulips ... If you could have me "borrow" the image?
    Thank You! Hugs!

  7. Hello Lin - I'm so glad you were able to see your gorgeous cactus flower in full bloom and also to photograph it. Yes, they don't stay for long and that somehow makes the moment even more special doesn't it.
Cheers now and take things easy in the heat :D)
