Yesterday was FNwF's hosted by Cheryll - thank you Cheryll and hope you are having fun on your travels.
As a wet day was promised - but of course didnt materialise! - I decided to start decorating the kitchen. Always a mamoth task as there is so much to move so I tend to work on a section at a time. Fortunately after lunch there was time between coats of paint to make a start on some secret stitching. The design was ready so I just had to trace it up and sort out some thread which is what I did.
This is just a tiny section. After all that moving and cleaning and painting I was very happy to sink into my sofa and spend the evening with a good film and making a start on embroidering my design.

This months Rainbow Scrap Challenge colour is light and bright blue and so last weekend I went through my scrap box and pulled out all the bits of blue.
Not a great variety of fabrics there but I managed enough for my little Dresdens, some scrap therapy squares and six crumb blocks which have now been added to my collection.
Linking up with Angela at ScrapHappy Saturday
Have a good week.
What a nice collection of blocks to have come from your scraps. They will add nicely to your earlier work.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly made quick work of those BLUE scraps, Lin!!
ReplyDeleteYou had energy after painting for embroidery? Normally I am just have a soak in a hot tub, have some dinner and go to bed after a day of painting. Thank goodness tnis house is painted, took a few years, so worth the disruption of the paint process.
ReplyDeletePretty little blocks from your scraps. I hope you are able to show us what you use them for.
ReplyDeleteYour scraps look so cheerful, and indeed they sure made lovely blocks!!
ReplyDeleteA spruce up for the kitchen sounds exciting! I’m working on that myself but with new cabinets and counter tops. The remodeling type businesses are SO busy these days that it might take awhile to get my turn. But I’m excited. Some embroidery and a good flick make for a nice relaxing evening. What a cute bit of your design you are sharing.
ReplyDeleteYour scrappy bits look interesting. I’m looking forward to seeing how you will use them.
