I had a very productive afternoon and evening! First up I finished off my Rainbow Scrap Challenge blocks. May is a green month!
So I am also linking up with Angela at soscrappy
Next up was to get my friend Jacquelines quilt layered up for quilting. You can see my first post about this quilt here. Since that photo was taken I have added the final border and pieced together the leftover fabrics to make the backing. Here it is, all pinned and ready to quilt.
And as promised, close ups of some of the blocks. This is her first quilt and she has done really well.
The fabrics are gorgeous - I especially love the one with the feathers.
It was nice to finish the evening with some hand sewing - secret stuff so only a glimpse!

ReplyDeleteYour green blocks look great Lin, I really like the addition of the light 'spokes' in the dark background stars (hope that maks sense!!). Your friend's quilt is gorgeous - well done to her for such a lovely looking first quilt... and howlovely of you to do the quilting for her ;-)
