Scheepjes CAL 'Hygge' - it's a finish!

And it has been for at least the last week so I have no idea why I have not posted about it until now!!

Anyway, here it is in all it's glory.

These were the last two sections and you can also see the border and finished ends.

I am not overly enamoured with the double bobbles which make up the last section and wish that I had gone with my first instinct which was to reapeat the bobbles from the first section which are so striking. However, I am not going to worry about it and am very pleased overall with my finished shawl.

The last week of the instructions were how to line the shawl, but I have decided not to go for that as I feel that it is going to be very warm as it is. And I was careful about keeping my work neat on the back!

Linking up with Heather at Books and Quilts for Needlework Tuesday.

Enjoy your week.

  1. It's beautiful, Lin! I will try to remember your comment about the last bobble section, when I'll get there (if ever, LOL).
I think I agree with you about the lining, it might make it too slippery?

  12. Stunning work from beginning to end, a gorgeous shawl to be treasured. I agree about the lining not being needed, it would also slip about a lot and you can always add it later if you change your mind.
