FOQ part 2

 Welcome back!

This was amazing - so much to look at!

This young lady will go far

This lovely piece was made to celebrate 150 years of Liberty's

This next jacket is from the Quilters Guild collection - and I want it!

A few of the prize winners - the ones I liked! The lighting in the winners gallery was not conducive to good photography!

You will not be able to tell from this ghastly photo but the next quilt was entirely silver. A first I thought all the same silver but then looking closer I could see it was all different silver fabrics including a 'velvet'.

This quilt was voted Best in Show.

I hope you have enjoyed my quick tour of the show - there were masses of beautiful quilts to look at and the standard was amazing.

  1. I've been watching many of the Youtube videos quilters have made of the show. It must be an amazing show, so much to view! Did you go more than one day, I think it would be hard to get around to all the quilt displays in one day. I'm sure you came home inspired!

  2. Oh, I want that jacket, too, Lin! It's exquisite. I can't imagine the time it took to stitch all the incredible embroidery. The maker's daughter would have felt like the belle of the ball wearing her gorgeous jacket. Such a beautiful story, too. Another favourite of mine is the fabulous Liberty creation. Amazing! So much inspiration to be seen. Your head must be spinning with an overload of ideas.

  8. I did enjoy these posts. The talent of these people is out of this world. Pink Fusion is the top! Wow! I would so wear that. The New Look Jacket, I wouldn't wear that. I'd be too afraid something happens to it or stains it. The patience of that lady. Like I said, out of this world. Thank you for sharing. Enjoy! ;^)
