The Perfectly Pleasing Pincushion Parade!
This linky for us to show off our pincushions is being run by Ida and you can see all the lovely and interesting examples that have been entered HERE. Many thanks to Ida for hosting this parade and having such a good idea.
Here are the pincushions that I use regularly.
But I am just going to talk about the two that I really enjoyed making.
First of all this Anni Downs pincushion.
I can't remember now if I made the bag first or the pincushion but I love them both and they are perfect for taking with me when I take sewing out for the day.
This set I made some years ago.
The design is my own using perle cotton on canvas. They live in my sewing basket and are used nearly every day.
There are some stunning pincushions in the parade - I do hope that you will go and have a look.

Lin, thank you for joining the parade and sharing your lovely pincushions. The stitchery and needlework is exquisite. Thanks for sharing them with us! I'm so excited that the parade is international! We have several Aussies in addition to our USA linkups and one linkup from Japan, and now France too!
ReplyDeleteOh Lin, your pincushions are stunning. I LOVE the embroidered one, but the detail in the second one is really wonderful. I can see how you would enjoy using them on a daily basis.
ReplyDeleteI see some beauties here! A few that are too pretty to use, as a matter of fact!
ReplyDeleteYour pincushion sets are gorgeous, Lin. What lovely pincushions you shared with us.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pincushions- love your set that you made!
ReplyDeleteI made needlepoint pin cushions decades ago too. I'm not using them currently though. I think I may have to go round up a few of the ones I am using these days and put them in the parade!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pincushions Lin, you do lovely embroidery.
ReplyDeleteLin, your pincushions are all so elegant and beautiful! What gorgeous needlework you do! I also love the matching bag you made!
ReplyDeleteI spy stunning pincushions!!
ReplyDeleteHave a fun week.
You have two very nice sets! Wonderful work.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Must head over to see all the other pincushions!
ReplyDeleteWow Lin, your perle cotton on canvas set is just gorgeous! I'd use it every day too, if I had such a stunner of a set!
ReplyDeleteYour workmanship on the perle cotton on canvas cushion is exquisite. What a beautiful collection you have!
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful pincushions , all so well crafted , you are a gifted stitcher :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks! I had forgotten this was happening. I love all your pincushions. That little swam is adorable. Your design in the last one is just wonderful, and it makes such a lovely set. The small piece is a thimble holder?
ReplyDeleteLovely pincushions you made.
ReplyDeleteI love the swan too!
What an interesting link up. I made the Anni Downs one when I was doing a project with Stitch-a-long. I have several unique ones, a tea pot and a bird house but the ones I use most are the little red tomato and a wrist one which are purchased ones. The only other one I've made is a hen.
ReplyDeleteMama Bear
Love you pincushions. Those last two pincushions are really lovely. Both must have taken hours of stitching, especially the perle cotton on canvas set.
