It has been a busy time for the postman recently and here are some of the lovely things he has brought me.
First of all this super Dragon fabric and pattern - a giveaway from Karen of KaHolly
Then I treated myself to another of Monika's http://mysweetprairie.blogspot.fr/
miniature threadpaintings that I fell in love with when I saw it on her blog.
Difficult to get a good photograph without a reflection but I love those Black Eyed Susans.
I have been seeing many links to the Victorian Motto Sampler Shoppe because the very generous Nancy is always having giveaways! Her hand dyed threads look beautiful and so I ordered a few packs of perle cotton and they arrived today.
The colours are just as gorgeous in real life and I am looking forward to using them in some of my crazy blocks.
I hope you have had some interesting post this week.
Nothing nicer than lovely mail. Such pretties x
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love that thread painting!
ReplyDeleteOoh lovely treasures - that thread painting is amazing!!!
ReplyDeleteHello Lin,
ReplyDeleteLove that dragon fabric, haven't seen any like that before. I can see why you fell in love with the stitchery and threads, enjoy them.
Yes I got a cheque in mail today which was good.
Happy days.
Bev.
Beautiful dragon fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love the colors of thread you ordered! I keep hoping I'll win a giveaway, but eventually, I'll order some perle cottons, too, because who can resist?
ReplyDeleteLove the dragon fabric and the threads are such pretty colours!
ReplyDeleteSomeone had a wonderful week :-) How cool is the dragon fabric and pattern?? And the thread painting is done so well, I love seeing her work and I'm sure it's all the more impressive in person. I can see why you ordered the thread-the colors are so soft and blendable. Nice!!
ReplyDeleteOh, right! YOU'RE the one! I finally had to order some of her threads. I couldn't stand it! I only got a few until I've saved some money, but I had to have some. I hope we both win some! Did you see her post about the person who is buying one of everything she has? I'd love to do that. =)
