A Biscornu Pincushion

I finished the embroidery for my pincushion during the week. It did not go together as well as my first biscornu but then choosing velvet for the base was probably not a good idea! Anyway after a bit of unpicking and restitching it went together and I was able to add the spider to my last corner and tassels to the points. Using a shanked button was not such a good idea either but then, after much deliberation, it was the best for size and colour of what I had so I went with it.

Very pleased with how this turned out although a few lessons learnt for future reference!

This week I also completed the last flower pot for my Red Manor House BOM

so now I am all ready for the next part which should arrive on Wednesday.

So far the only big problem I have with the new blogger is that I am receiving each comment twice by email. Is there someone out there who can tell me where to go to report this please? Also the only way I have been able to add labels is by running through the whole list and checking the boxes - anyone know of a quicker way?

Have a good week and hope to see you on Friday for Friday Night with Friends.

  2. Hi Lin
Did you do all the embroidery before you stitched it into a pin cushion. Then added the spider & beads

  5. That biscornu pincushion is fabulous. I like all the intricate details. BTW, why did you not like the velvet bottom? That seems like a good idea and looks so pretty.

  6. Love your biscornu. So pretty and such beautiful CQ stitching.

I can't offer any solutions re Blogger comments and email. Re labels...if you put in the first couple of letters on the red line that is above the list it will bring up all the possible options. Hope that makes sense.

  8. What a beauty!! Full of interesting, intricate embroidery. Wonderful! Congrats on getting it finish. I've been saving pattern for cross-stitched biscornu in my Pinterest for years. Yep, one day ... one day I'll make one, lol.
For Blogger, when at the dashboard (where you see all your posts), on right hand side on top close to your icon, there a ? in a white circle (not the dark one). There's a lot of questions already answered or you can send a feedback. Good luck. As for the labels, I've tried typing it on the "Add label" space but it doesn't transfer to the post itself. So I am stuck reading the entire list to get what I want. I have two alphabet to go through as some of my labels start with a capital letter and others don't. The system arrange the list by capital first then the regular. If you have one that starts with numbers, like my 365 challenge, it is the last on the list. Geesh! So much fun!
    Enjoy! ;^)

I can't help with the comments problem sorry, other than to do into the settings ,delete everything, put your email address back in and save. Sigh out of blogger and then start over again. I am having the same issues with labels.
